. This is one of a group of 1930s original release movie studio promotional photographs recently acquired from the family of the original owner.
These are all TYPE 1 photos ~ struck from the original negatives at the time of initial release.  These photos were released to the press for publicity purposes, not for display in theatre lobbies.  As such, they had a limited shelf life and few have survived.
They are being offered here on eBay for the very first time anywhere.  Publicity copy is on the back side; I have included a photo of that wording in each listing.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
These 85+ year-old photographs were used for publicity back in the day; they are not uncirculated old stock.  They may have minor surface, edge and corner wear, including small edge tears and creases at corner tips.
Unless otherwise noted, these don't significantly affect the image area.  All were printed on standard quality photo paper and they have retained outstanding image quality.  Most have a slight sepia tint which gives a richness to the photos.

Because of natural curling of the photos from storage, I cut a hole in a hard plastic sleeve to display them flat for purposes of photography (see picture 3).  The lines or color changes you see along the borders are from the plastic sleeve, not defects in the photos.
